Brief 1 - Frame (Photoshop): Mini Crit

After being stuck on what to do next a few of us decided to hold a mini crit and talk out our ideas. I found this really helped get over the creative block because it gave me some ideas on where to go next.

The three water colour loose leaf paintings were favoured most but the slightly more orange one wasn't thought of as highly so for this reason I will redo this to make a set of three. The other thing that was suggested from my first mock up of the leaf idea was that the font was the wrong kind of style.

After this feedback I began playing around with different fonts trying to find one that fits with concept. The font Aleo Light is a thin slab serif which

surprisingly fits in with the theme. Its not over complicated the serifs give an extra bit of detail without over complicating or crowding it as it is a very minimal piece.

I was struggling with finding a brand or shop that this style would work with until someone suggested I look into Next as they do a homeware section which would work with this style.
