After looking into the Adobe Font Folio I've decided on my starter font for Jonny. I've chosen Briem Akademi STD Condensed as my chosen font. On the right is an image of it with a brief description of why I have chosen it. After speaking to Jonny I decided that the font needed to be neat and organised as it became clear thats how he worked. He likes to have a routine and a structure, I feel this font is very structured, neat and precise. Another major thing that stood out to me was how busy he is with working outside the course and socially. This font reflects that well because it is condensed rather than being spread out which may give the impression of being slower paced. I want to work with a san serif because to me serifs seem to be an extra touch that would take more time this would contradict with the idea of him being busy. Also capitals looks more 'in your face' its busy and outgoing. The other piece of information I picked up was how interested he was in mechanics, the fact that this font is san serif gives a concept of mechanics.
I will now use this font as a starting point and begin to look at creating a modified font for him around this.
